Message from AMEBEATO to the Members and Friends of the Community
Dear members, readers, and friends of Beato,
AMEBEATO wishes you all a peaceful and inspiring end of the year. As we step into 2026, we renew our commitment to promoting active citizenship, celebrating local culture, and strengthening the connection between residents, artists, and businesses.
We are pleased to share with you the main initiatives included in our 2026 Activity Plan:
🎉 Community Events We will continue to promote open community activities, with special attention to the residents of Beato. Whenever possible, these events will take place at the Hub Criativo do Beato, reinforcing the spirit of neighbourhood, collaboration, and shared experiences.
🏢 Business Events We will organize meetings and initiatives with both local and external companies, also prioritizing the spaces of the Hub Criativo do Beato. Our goal is to foster collaboration networks and support economic development.
🎨 AME ARTS Project – Promoting Local Artists and Artisans We aim to continue giving visibility to the creative talent of Beato and Lisbon by sharing the stories and work of local creators. This project will culminate in a creative showcase event celebrating the artistic diversity of our community.
📜 Ratification of AMEBEATO’s New Statutes In 2026, we will promote the ratification of our new Statutes. We are especially excited about Article 5 – Membership Categories, particularly point 3:
Young people aged 18 to 25 may become full members of AMEBEATO, exempt from both the joining fee and the annual membership fee. These members have full participation rights in General Assemblies, including voting and eligibility for governing bodies.
This is an important step toward engaging youth in community life and ensuring the renewal and vitality of AMEBEATO.
🎭 Invitation to Artists and Artisans We invite all artists and artisans to send us their stories and creative proposals (pitches) at geral@amebeato.pt. We want to meet you, share your work, and encourage you to become members of AMEBEATO.
🏠 Note on Physical Space AMEBEATO does not currently have its own headquarters due to associated costs. However, we make use of temporary borrowed spaces for our activities, always with a spirit of collaboration and creativity.
🗳️ Elections and Renewal in 2026 At the beginning of 2026, we will hold elections for our governing bodies. This will be a moment of renewal, openness to new ideas, and reinforcement of AMEBEATO’s role as a driver of local transformation.
