Attending TUMO BEATO is 100 per cent free for young people aged 12 to 18
BEATO is the home of TUMO.
TUMO is a Creative Technologies centre with an extracurricular educational programme for young people aged between 12 and 18 whose aim is to develop technical skills (animation, design, robotics, web development, games development, music, photography, cinema) and behavioural skills (self-regulation, feeling of self-efficacy, interpersonal relationships, communication, time management, decision-making, etc.).
It has a very different pedagogical model that combines moments of self-learning, workshops with professionals and project laboratories.
Attending TUMO is 100 per cent free – there are no enrolments, tuition fees or equipment costs and it is funded by patronage and philanthropy.

TUMO is a centre for creative technologies with a totally free programme for young people aged between 12 and 18. It works as a complement to traditional education, offering the chance to develop a portfolio of projects in the areas of Music, Robotics, Animation, Games Development, Programming, Photography, Cinema and Graphic Design.
Each young person has a personalised learning path according to their progress and preferences and is accompanied by a Learning Coach, developing their learning in a mix of self-directed activities and workshops led by experts.
TUMO contributes significantly to developing young people with a greater awareness of citizenship, greater interpersonal and intrapersonal skills (in particular creativity, communication, collaboration, critical thinking, independence, initiative and leadership), better school results and better career prospects.
In Portugal, the first TUMO centre opened in Coimbra in September 2023 with 1,000 students. In Lisbon, we will start receiving students at the beginning of October 2024, in the Factory building, Beato. Enrolment is open on our website at
