SPACES FOR ASSOCIATIONS

N

In the two parishes of Beato and Marvila, how are the urban renovations aimed at repositioning them in the city of Lisbon progressing? Are they happening at the same pace?

What can we expect from this enhancement of city life, will it be inclusive of women, ethnic minorities, the urban poor and the elderly or not?

Are the changes to the eastern waterfront, Beato and Marvila, for whom and how?

“Occupiers” are more common in urban areas than in rural spaces – with urban decay.

How many spaces – buildings, plots of land – are occupied? How many are there, where are they, who are they?

Is there a recent report that highlights these situations and gives indications for their resolution?

How many entities and collaborators are needed to vacate an occupied space? What is the cost?

CHANGES – “OCCUPIES” – ASSOCIATIONS

There are associations with great, proven work and newer associations with the will, dedication and commitment to participate, involve businesses and residents, and who believe in the importance of reducing people’s social isolation, group activities and leisure activities.

SPACES FOR ASSOCIATIONS

By handing over spaces to associations in accordance with the rules, it is possible to simplify processes, reduce costs, reduce occupancy problems and create new places with stronger and closer links to the community, residents and businesses.

The new spaces of successful associations make it possible to create strong relationships, to promote the development of solid and productive relationships – to share ideas, resources and experiences in order to achieve common goals.
