Young people up to the age of 35 who completed higher education in 2023 and are already working must apply for support on the ePortugal portal by the end of May 2024.

Young workers living in Portugal, of Portuguese or foreign nationality, can request and/or receive, up until the year in which they turn 35, a salary premium for having obtained bachelor’s or master’s degrees.

The premium (also called a tuition fee refund) is paid annually by the Tax and Customs Authority (Finanças).

Please note: If you turn 36 in 2024, you cannot apply.
